Department of Prosthodontics
Restoring Function, Aesthetics, and Phonetics
In a medical sense, a prosthesis refers to the artificial replacement of a missing or dysfunctional part of the body. In dentistry, Prosthodontics focuses on the artificial replacement of missing or lost teeth and their associated structures.
Depending on the number and location of missing teeth and the condition of surrounding tissues, treatment modalities include fixed restorations, removable partial dentures, and complete dentures. With the advancement of implant dentistry, we also provide various implant-supported prostheses.
Specialized Rehabilitation
Our department also manages prosthetic treatments for maxillofacial deformities involving the jaw, tongue, and face. Additionally, occlusal rehabilitation and the management of Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) disorders fall within our clinical expertise.
